1. General provisions
1.1. These General Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles provided by RENTADVENTURE.RO, the trade name of SC ONLINE SUPPORT SERVICES SRL, a Romanian legal entity headquartered in Romania, Suceava County, Ipotesti Commune, Lisaura Village, No. 268, with a working point located in Bucharest, District 2, Șoseaua Morarilor No. 1, Complex Postăvăria Română, registered with the Trade Registry under No. J33/1469/2020, tax identification code RO43278826, IBAN: RO82BTRLRONCRT0T13F88701, opened at Banca Transilvania.
1.2. By signing the Rental Agreement, the Client acknowledges having read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions, which form an integral part of the Agreement.
1.3. RENTADVENTURE.RO provides vehicle rental services for personal and professional use, including overlander-type vehicles equipped with rooftop tents, portable refrigerators, camping tables, chairs, and other outdoor accessories.
1.4. The vehicles are not intended for off-road driving. Driving outside public roads constitutes a serious breach of the Rental Agreement and may result in full forfeiture of the deposit and contract termination.
1.5. All contractual relationships between the parties are governed by Romanian law. In the absence of specific provisions, the relevant articles of the Romanian Civil Code on lease agreements shall apply.
2. Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions shall apply:
2.1. “Lessor” – RENTADVENTURE.RO, the trade name of SC ONLINE SUPPORT SERVICES SRL.
2.2. “Client” or “Lessee” – the natural or legal person renting a vehicle from RENTADVENTURE.RO.
2.3. “Rental Agreement” – the written document signed by both parties, together with the vehicle handover report and these Terms and Conditions.
2.4. “Vehicle” – the motor vehicle specified in the Rental Agreement, including all documents, equipment, and accessories supplied with it.
2.5. “Authorized Driver” – the person designated in the contract, holding a valid driver’s license and authorized to drive the vehicle.
2.6. “Security Deposit” – the standard refundable amount of 500 EUR, paid by the Client at the start of the rental and subject to the conditions herein.
2.7. “Rental Period” – the time interval between the pick-up and return dates/times indicated in the Agreement.
2.8. “Total Loss” – a situation where the repair cost of the vehicle exceeds 75% of its market value.
2.9. “Camping Equipment” – the rooftop tent, refrigerator, table, chairs, and other outdoor accessories provided with the overlander vehicles.
3. Rental conditions
3.1. Client Eligibility
3.1.1. Vehicles may be rented only to persons who:
• are at least 21 years old;
• hold a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years;
• present a valid ID card or passport and driver’s license recognized in Romania or within the European Union.
3.1.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO reserves the right to refuse rental if there are reasonable grounds to believe that the Client is unable to drive safely or may fail to comply with contractual obligations.
3.2. Required Documents
3.2.1. The Client must present the following documents:
a) a valid identity card or passport;
b) a valid original driver’s license;
c) an active credit card (for deposit blocking);
d) for legal entities – a power of attorney authorizing the representative to sign the contract.
3.2.2. Missing or invalid documents will render the contract void.
3.3. Rental Period
3.3.1. The rental period starts at the date and time specified in the handover report and ends upon vehicle return.
3.3.2. Vehicle return must take place within the agreed term, between 06:00 and 24:00.
3.3.3. A delay of over 59 minutes from the scheduled return time will be charged as an additional rental day.
3.3.4. Failure to notify RENTADVENTURE.RO within 3 hours after the due return time entitles the company to contact the authorities and recover the vehicle.
3.3.5. Any extension must be approved in writing by RENTADVENTURE.RO.
3.4. Payment and Security Deposit
3.4.1. The rental fee and deposit must be paid in full upon contract signing, in RON or EUR, by credit card or cash.
3.4.2. The standard deposit amount is 500 EUR.
3.4.3. The deposit will be fully refunded if the vehicle is returned undamaged, clean, with a full fuel tank, and without outstanding fines or fees.
3.4.4. RENTADVENTURE.RO may partially or fully retain the deposit if:
a) the vehicle is driven off-road;
b) damages or excessive dirt are found (cleaning fee: 100 EUR);
c) return is delayed;
d) contractual clauses are breached.
3.5. Rates and Additional Charges
3.5.1. Rental rates include VAT, standard insurance (RCA + CASCO), and use within Romania and bordering EU countries.
3.5.2. Fuel, cleaning, parking, tolls, and traffic fines are not included.
3.5.3. If the vehicle is returned with an incomplete fuel tank, the Client will be charged for the missing fuel plus a service fee of 20 EUR.
3.5.4. If the vehicle is excessively dirty, a cleaning fee of 100 EUR will apply.
3.6. Pick-up and Return Locations
3.6.1. Vehicles can be collected and returned only at RENTADVENTURE.RO locations in Bucharest and Brașov.
3.6.2. Returns in other locations are permitted only with prior written consent and will incur relocation fees based on distance.
3.6.3. Unauthorized returns outside these cities will result in full recovery and relocation costs being charged to the Client.
4. Client obligations and vehicle use rules
4.1. Duty of Care
4.1.1. The Client must handle the vehicle with care and in accordance with the manufacturer’s and RENTADVENTURE.RO’s instructions.
4.1.2. The Client must regularly check oil level, tire pressure, coolant, and general vehicle condition.
4.1.3. Negligent or unlawful use of the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
4.2. Area and Conditions of Use
4.2.1. Vehicles may be driven only in Romania and bordering EU countries as specified in the Rental Agreement.
4.2.2. It is strictly prohibited to drive:
a) off public roads;
b) on rough terrain, beaches, riverbeds, fields, or steep forest roads;
c) in races, competitions, or driving tests;
d) in restricted or prohibited areas.
4.2.3. Driving in prohibited areas will result in full forfeiture of the deposit and potential damages being charged to the Client.
4.3. Prohibited Uses
4.3.1. It is forbidden to:
a) sublet or transfer the vehicle;
b) use it for passenger transport for hire or reward;
c) use it for driving lessons or towing;
d) transport hazardous, flammable, illegal, or dirty materials;
e) perform unauthorized technical interventions;
f) disable safety systems or GPS devices;
g) modify the vehicle’s configuration or components.
4.4. Vehicle Operation
4.4.1. Only the drivers listed in the contract are allowed to operate the vehicle.
4.4.2. It is prohibited to allow unauthorized persons or those under the influence of alcohol or drugs to drive.
4.4.3. The Client is liable for any damages caused by persons permitted by them to operate the vehicle.
4.5. Vehicle Security Obligations
4.5.1. When leaving the vehicle, the Client must ensure all doors and windows are closed, the rooftop tent is secured, and anti-theft systems are activated.
4.5.2. Vehicle documents must never be left inside.
4.5.3. If the vehicle is stolen due to negligence (keys or documents left inside), the Client bears full responsibility.
4.6. Maintenance and Refueling
4.6.1. The Client must use the correct type of fuel.
4.6.2. Adding additives or fluids without authorization is prohibited.
4.6.3. All fuel, parking, toll, cleaning, and fine-related costs are borne by the Client.
4.7. Malfunctions and Repairs
4.7.1. Any malfunction must be reported immediately to RENTADVENTURE.RO.
4.7.2. Repairs may only be performed with written authorization.
4.7.3. For minor repairs approved by the company, reimbursement is provided upon submission of the original invoice.
4.8. Accidents
4.8.1. In case of accident, the Client must stop immediately, notify authorities and RENTADVENTURE.RO, and complete all legal forms.
4.8.2. A police report or amicable accident form, photos, and witness details must be provided.
4.8.3. Missing or false documentation will result in the Client being fully liable for damages.
4.8.4. For minor CASCO-covered damage, only the deposit (500 EUR) will be withheld.
4.9. Theft
4.9.1. In the event of theft, the Client must immediately notify the police and RENTADVENTURE.RO.
4.9.2. Full liability applies if:
a) the keys are lost or left unattended;
b) documents were inside the vehicle;
c) anti-theft systems were not activated;
d) the police report was not filed.
4.10. Return Obligation
4.10.1. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received, clean, and with a full fuel tank.
4.10.2. Otherwise, fuel and cleaning fees (20 EUR + 100 EUR) apply.
4.10.3. Camping accessories must be returned complete and clean; missing or damaged items will be billed at replacement value.
4.11. Loss of Usage Rights
4.11.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may demand immediate return of the vehicle if contractual obligations are breached.
4.11.2. The Client bears recovery and transport costs.
4.12. Unauthorized Repairs
It is strictly forbidden to replace parts, alter technical parameters, or add accessories without prior written consent.
4.13. Camping Equipment Use
4.13.1. The rooftop tent must be used according to instructions.
4.13.2. Climbing onto the vehicle roof without properly deploying the tent is prohibited.
4.13.3. The Client is fully liable for any damage to the tent, refrigerator, table, or chairs.
4.13.4. Lost or damaged items will be charged at full replacement value.
4.14. Limitation of Liability
RENTADVENTURE.RO shall not be held liable for:
a) loss of travel time, bookings, or opportunities;
b) indirect or consequential damages;
c) inability to continue the trip due to traffic, weather, or legal restrictions.
4.15. Additional Obligations
4.15.1. The Client must comply with all road traffic laws and local regulations.
4.15.2. Any fines or penalties incurred are fully the Client’s responsibility.
5. Liability, insurance and damage limitation
5.1. Types of Insurance
5.1.1. All RENTADVENTURE.RO vehicles are covered by:
a) Mandatory Third-Party Liability Insurance (RCA) – covering damages caused to third parties, according to Romanian law;
b) Comprehensive Insurance (CASCO) – covering partial or total damage to the vehicle, within the insurer’s terms and conditions;
c) Theft Insurance – included in the CASCO policy, valid only if contractual conditions are met (original keys and documents are not lost).
5.1.2. The standard rental includes basic insurance coverage. Optional extra coverage (reduced deductible, extended protection) may be available upon request.
5.2. Client Liability for Damages
5.2.1. The Client is liable for any damage to the vehicle, regardless of fault, up to the deposit amount (500 EUR), provided:
a) the incident is covered by CASCO insurance;
b) all reporting procedures and contractual terms were followed.
5.2.2. The Client bears full liability (without limitation to the deposit) if:
a) driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or prohibited medication;
b) leaving the accident scene without police authorization;
c) failure to notify RENTADVENTURE.RO of the incident;
d) driving off public roads;
e) allowing unauthorized persons to drive;
f) intentional damage to the vehicle or accessories;
g) failure to return the original keys in case of theft.
5.3. Exclusions from CASCO Coverage
5.3.1. CASCO insurance does not cover:
a) damages caused by engine overheating;
b) tire, rim, windshield, or interior damage not resulting from an accident;
c) loss of keys or documents;
d) damages during towing or pushing other vehicles;
e) damage to camping equipment (tent, refrigerator, table, chairs).
5.3.2. In such cases, all costs are borne fully by the Client.
5.4. Deductible and Security Deposit
5.4.1. A deductible equal to the deposit amount (500 EUR) applies to each insured event.
5.4.2. For CASCO-covered damage, RENTADVENTURE.RO will retain the deposit until the insurer finalizes the claim.
5.4.3. If the insurer rejects the claim due to the Client’s non-compliance, all repair costs are payable by the Client.
5.5. Total Loss
5.5.1. A “total loss” is deemed when repair costs exceed 75% of the vehicle’s market value.
5.5.2. In case of total loss caused by the Client, the Client owes the difference between the vehicle’s market value and the insurer’s compensation.
5.5.3. If the total loss is not attributable to the Client (e.g. caused by an identified third party), no additional costs apply.
5.6. Accident Procedure
5.6.1. In the event of an accident, the Client must:
a) stop immediately and secure the area;
b) notify authorities and RENTADVENTURE.RO within 2 hours;
c) refrain from admitting liability without company consent;
d) complete the amicable accident form or obtain a police report;
e) send photos and documentation within 24 hours.
5.6.2. If official documents are missing, RENTADVENTURE.RO may hold the Client fully liable for damages.
5.7. Theft Procedure
5.7.1. In case of theft, the Client must:
a) immediately inform the police and RENTADVENTURE.RO;
b) file a written police complaint within 24 hours;
c) submit a copy of the complaint and the original keys.
5.7.2. If the keys or complaint are missing, full liability applies.
5.8. Liability Towards Third Parties
5.8.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO shall not be liable for damages caused by the Client to third parties.
5.8.2. The Client is personally responsible for all bodily, moral, or material damages not covered by RCA insurance.
5.9. Company’s Right to Retain Funds
5.9.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may deduct from the deposit any amounts due for:
a) damage repair;
b) payment of fines received post-return;
c) administrative claim handling fees.
5.9.2. If costs exceed the deposit, the Client must pay the difference within 5 days of notification.
5.10. Company Liability
5.10.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO is liable only for direct damages caused to the Client through proven intent or gross negligence.
5.10.2. The company shall not be held liable for:
a) minor technical faults not affecting safety;
b) delays due to traffic, weather, or force majeure;
c) inability to continue travel caused by external factors.
6. Vehicle return and handover procedure
6.1. Return Locations and Hours
6.1.1. Vehicles must be returned to one of RENTADVENTURE.RO’s locations in Bucharest or Brașov, within the term specified in the Rental Agreement.
6.1.2. Returns are allowed only between 06:00 and 24:00.
6.1.3. Returns outside these hours require prior written approval and may incur additional fees.
6.2. Handover Procedure
6.2.1. Upon return, a handover report shall be completed in the presence of a RENTADVENTURE.RO representative.
6.2.2. The vehicle is considered officially returned only after this report is signed.
6.2.3. If the company representative is not present, the Client must provide clear photos (all sides, interior, fuel gauge, mileage).
6.2.4. RENTADVENTURE.RO reserves the right to inspect the vehicle within 48 hours after return and to bill any subsequently discovered damages.
6.3. Vehicle Condition Upon Return
6.3.1. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received — clean, undamaged, and with a full tank.
6.3.2. Washing the engine, masking damage, or aesthetic interventions before return are prohibited.
6.3.3. Any new damage will be subject to inspection and deduction from the deposit.
6.4. Fuel and Cleanliness
6.4.1. The vehicle must be returned with a full fuel tank.
6.4.2. Otherwise, the Client will be charged for the missing fuel plus a 20 EUR refueling service fee.
6.4.3. Excessive dirt (mud, sand, food residues, stains) incurs a 100 EUR cleaning fee.
6.5. Accessories and Camping Equipment
6.5.1. Overlander vehicles must be returned with all accessories complete (tent, refrigerator, table, chairs, tools, cables, etc.).
6.5.2. Missing or damaged equipment will be charged at full replacement value.
6.5.3. RENTADVENTURE.RO may temporarily withhold part of the deposit until exact costs are determined.
6.6. Early Return
6.6.1. In case of early return, unused rental days are non-refundable, except in cases of force majeure or technical failure not caused by the Client.
6.6.2. If the malfunction was caused by the Client, the rental period is considered ended on the date of the incident.
6.7. Late Return
6.7.1. Delays up to 59 minutes are not charged.
6.7.2. Delays between 1 and 24 hours incur an additional daily rental rate.
6.7.3. Delays over 24 hours without notice constitute unauthorized possession, entitling RENTADVENTURE.RO to recover the vehicle legally.
6.8. Return to a Different Location
6.8.1. Returning the vehicle to a location other than Bucharest or Brașov requires written approval.
6.8.2. Unauthorized returns will result in full recovery and relocation costs being charged to the Client.
6.9. Loss of Keys or Documents
6.9.1. Loss of keys or documents requires reimbursement of replacement and administrative costs.
6.9.2. Typical replacement costs:
- Key: 150–400 EUR (depending on model)
- Documents: 100 EUR
6.10. Non-Returned Vehicle
6.10.1. Failure to return the vehicle within the agreed term and inability to locate it may be considered misappropriation or theft, and reported to authorities.
6.10.2. The full deposit will be forfeited, and the Client may face civil or criminal action.
6.11. Complaints at Return
6.11.1. Any complaints regarding vehicle condition must be recorded in the handover report.
6.11.2. Later claims are not accepted if the report was signed “no remarks.”
6.11.3. RENTADVENTURE.RO’s authorized service assessments prevail in the event of disputes.
6.12. Right of Retention
6.12.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may retain part or all of the deposit to cover damages, fines, missing items, transport, or non-compliance at return.
6.12.2. If costs exceed the deposit, the Client must pay the difference within 5 working days.
6.13. Confirmation of Return
6.13.1. The rental is considered finalized only after the handover report is signed and confirmed by RENTADVENTURE.RO.
6.13.2. Signing this document confirms that the Client’s usage obligations have been fulfilled.
7. Fines, administrative fees and penalties
7.1. Traffic Fines and Violations
7.1.1. The Client is solely responsible for all traffic fines, tolls, parking fees, or road taxes incurred during the rental.
7.1.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO may disclose Client details to authorities and deduct fines plus processing costs from the deposit.
7.1.3. Administrative fee for fine handling: 25 EUR per case.
7.2. Speeding, Parking, and Automated Fines
7.2.1. Fines issued by automated systems (radars, cameras) are forwarded to the Client.
7.2.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO may deduct the amount without prior notice if official documentation is received directly by the company.
7.2.3. Unpaid fines may incur late penalties of 0.1%/day.
7.3. Administrative Fees
7.3.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may charge administrative fees for:
a) damage / accident / theft file processing – 50 EUR;
b) CASCO claim handling – 30 EUR;
c) document reissue (registration, insurance) – 25 EUR;
d) reissuing invoices or documents upon request – 10 EUR;
e) vehicle relocation (unauthorized return) – minimum 1 EUR/km.
7.4. Contract Breach Penalties
7.4.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may impose penalties as follows:
a) Off-road or improper use – full deposit forfeiture (500 EUR);
b) Late return – one additional rental day per delay;
c) Loss of keys/documents – as per section 6.9;
d) Excessive dirt – 100 EUR;
e) Damage to camping equipment – full replacement value.
7.5. Towing and Recovery Costs
7.5.1. If the vehicle is immobilized due to the Client’s fault (accident, off-road, no fuel), towing costs are fully borne by the Client.
7.5.2. If immobilization is caused by a non-faulty technical issue, RENTADVENTURE.RO covers the costs.
7.6. Late Payments
7.6.1. Any overdue amounts are subject to 0.1%/day late interest.
7.6.2. Debts older than 30 days may be transferred to a debt collection agency.
7.7. Special Intervention Fees
7.7.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may charge:
a) unauthorized drop-off in another city – 100 EUR + 1 EUR/km;
b) police wheel clamp or impound release – 50 EUR;
c) missing mandatory safety items – 50 EUR.
7.8. Deductions
7.8.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may deduct all fines, penalties, and fees directly from the deposit.
7.8.2. If total costs exceed the deposit, the Client must pay the difference within 5 business days.
8. Contract termination and loss of use rights
8.1. Automatic Termination
8.1.1. The contract is automatically terminated without court intervention if:
a) the Client fails to pay rental or deposit;
b) the vehicle is used off-road, in races, or unlawfully;
c) the Client refuses to return the vehicle;
d) the Client causes an accident and fails to report it;
e) intentional damage occurs;
f) false documents or data are provided.
8.1.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO may immediately recover the vehicle at the Client’s expense.
8.2. Termination by the Company
8.2.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO may unilaterally terminate the contract for safety, non-payment, or gross negligence.
8.2.2. The Client must return the vehicle immediately.
8.2.3. No refunds apply, and the deposit may be retained.
8.3. Termination by the Client
8.3.1. The Client may terminate with 24 hours’ written notice.
8.3.2. Unused days are not refundable except for force majeure or non-fault technical issues.
8.4. Loss of Use Rights
8.4.1. The Client immediately loses the right to use the vehicle if:
a) contract terms are breached;
b) inspection is refused;
c) the vehicle is misused;
d) fraud is suspected.
8.4.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO may remotely disable the vehicle if technologically possible.
8.5. Vehicle Recovery
8.5.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO is entitled to recover the vehicle from any location without liability for incidental losses.
8.5.2. Recovery and storage costs are borne by the Client.
8.6. Right to Damages
8.6.1. Termination does not release the Client from liabilities incurred before vehicle return.
8.6.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO may claim compensation for:
a) lost rental income;
b) repair and maintenance costs;
c) applicable penalties.
8.7. Notifications
8.7.1. Termination notices are valid if sent by e-mail, SMS, phone, or WhatsApp to the Client’s provided contact.
8.7.2. Electronic communications have the same legal effect as written ones.
8.8. Force Majeure
8.8.1. Neither party is liable for non-performance due to force majeure (natural disasters, war, pandemic, government acts).
8.8.2. The affected party must notify the other within 48 hours.
8.8.3. If lasting more than 10 days, RENTADVENTURE.RO may terminate the contract without liability.
8.9. Reinstatement of Use
8.9.1. If suspended for correctable reasons (e.g., late payment), use rights may be reinstated after full payment and signing an addendum.
8.10. Post-Termination Obligations
8.10.1. All pre-existing obligations (payments, fines, damages) remain valid.
8.10.2. The deposit will be used to cover outstanding sums.
8.10.3. Any remaining balance will be refunded within 10 working days.
9. Data protection, confidentiality and final provisions
9.1. Personal Data Processing
9.1.1. RENTADVENTURE.RO complies with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
9.1.2. Personal data (name, ID, contact, driver’s license, signature, credit card) are processed solely for contract execution.
9.1.3. Data may be shared with partners (insurers, service providers, authorities) only as required by law or contract.
9.1.4. RENTADVENTURE.RO does not sell or share data for marketing without explicit consent.
9.1.5. The Client has rights of access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), and objection, by written request.
9.2. Confidentiality
9.2.1. All contractual terms, tariffs, and communications are confidential.
9.2.2. The Client shall not disclose commercial, technical, or financial information about RENTADVENTURE.RO to third parties.
9.3. Intellectual Property
9.3.1. The RENTADVENTURE.RO brand, logo, website content, and materials are protected under intellectual property law.
9.3.2. Unauthorized reproduction or use constitutes a violation and may incur civil or criminal liability
9.4. Assignment of Contract
9.4.1. The Client may not assign or transfer rights or obligations without written consent.
9.4.2. RENTADVENTURE.RO may assign contracts to authorized partners (insurers, recovery agencies) as necessary.
9.5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.5.1. This Agreement is governed by Romanian law.
9.5.2. Disputes shall be settled amicably or, failing that, by the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania.
9.5.3. Electronic copies (PDF, e-mail) are legally valid and binding.
9.6. Final Provisions
9.6.1. These Terms, together with the Rental Agreement and Handover Report, constitute the entire agreement.
9.6.2. In case of conflict, the signed Rental Agreement prevails.
9.6.3. Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
9.6.4. If any clause is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
9.6.5. RENTADVENTURE.RO reserves the right to update these Terms periodically; updated versions will be published on the official website.
9.7. Interpretation and Effect
9.7.1. Terms shall be interpreted under Romanian civil law and international car rental practice.
9.7.2. These General Terms and Conditions for Vehicle Rental – RENTADVENTURE.RO are effective as of 11 November 2025, and apply to all contracts signed thereafter.
